An Heirloom, Reimagined
Some pieces carry more than beauty, they carry family history.
Khun Ae came to JINNY WU Since 1960 with a treasured Type A jadeite heirloom and a wish to preserve its connection to his family while transforming it into something more contemporary and distinctly his own.
Working with natural jadeite requires exceptional care and experience. Because jade cannot be exposed directly to a flame, strict heat control was essential throughout the redesign process. One wrong move could permanently damage the stone.
The design therefore had to honour both the material and the story behind it. When Khun Ae saw the finished piece, his reaction said it all: “I love it. It’s very cool.”
For us, this is what truly bespoke jewellery means, preserving what matters while creating something that feels completely personal to the person wearing it today.
