New chinese style bow braid tutorial π·π©°π
this braid creates a soft butterfly bow look
and pairs beautifully with cheongsam or qipao outfits πΈ
β
Step 1:
Part the hair into left and right sections. Then take two small strands from the front top area (one from each side).
β
Step 2:
Braid both small strands separately into thin regular braids down to the ends.
β
Step 3:
Take a small section of hair from each side near the parting and tie them with a hair tie. (Blue-highlighted sections in the diagram.)
β
Step 4:
Make a small opening above the tied section, then flip the ponytail through it from outside to inside (topsy tail). Pull down and tighten gently.
β
Step 5:
Take another small section of hair from the sides (red-highlighted areas) and combine it with the previously tied section. Secure them together with a hair tie.
β
Step 6:
Add two more hair ties down the length of the ponytail, so you have three total sections (top, middle, bottom).
Note: Leave a small portion of hair near the second tie slightly loose.
β
Step 7:
Hold the bottom section (number 1) and lift it up to meet the middle section (number 2), then combine them.
β
Step 8:
Now lift the middle section up to the top section (number 3), and combine everything together with a final hair tie.
π‘ Tip:
Gently pull and spread the looped sections created at the top. This will form a beautiful butterfly wing or bow shape. Repeat the same steps on the other side for a balanced look.
