8 สิงหาคม ของทุกปี เป็นวันอาเซียน หรือ ASEAN DAY ซึ่งเป็นวันที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อแสดงถึงเหตุการณ์เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2510 ที่สมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้นที่กรุงเทพมหานคร โดยมีสมาชิกผู้ก่อตั้ง 5 ประเทศ

The 56th ASEAN Day will be hosted in the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta this year. Do you know? One of the celebratory dishes in Indonesia is a cone-shaped yellow rice called tumpeng!

We wish our Buddhist friends peace and enlightenment on Vesak Day. Celebrated in nearly all ASEAN Member States, the holiday is usually celebrated through temple festivities and charitable activities. A popular Vesak tradition is called Thudong, where monks take to a pilgrimage of thousands of miles as a testament to the Buddhist teaching of patience and perseverance.

The 42nd ASEAN Summit officially starts today. The day will begin with an opening ceremony and a plenary session for the Summit followed by the ASEAN Leaders’ interface with representatives from ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, ASEAN Youth, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, and the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Community’s Post-2025 Vision.

In the interface session with ASEAN Youth, recommendations from the ASEAN Youth Dialogue on Digital Development for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be presented to the ASEAN Leaders.
