ABOUT US/THE HISTORY:
One passion, Five Generations. Being the fifth generation in the gem industry, Nitasha’s love for jewelry started early. Decades ago her great grandparents owned mines in Mongok, Burma and traded in the finest rubies and sapphires. Later in 1981, Makhni Enterprises, the parent company of TASH, was established by Nitasha’s father. Today, after three decades of serving clients and attending trade fairs all over the globe, they have earned a trusted name in the coloured stone/gem industry.After graduating from Cambridge University, Nitasha Bajaj along with her sister-in law Sukrita Makhni, decided to pursue a course in Graduate Gemology (GG) and jewelry designing from GIA to amplify their knowledge. Sukrita has had hands on experience in jewelry manufacturing and her designs have been selected and published in various jewelry magazines. From an early age they both watched jewelry being created and gemstones being processed, learning to love the profession and its secrets. With this combination of passion, expertise and experience inherent in them, they decided to expand the 35 year old gem business into jewelry. With an access to a wide range of sublime stones from their parent company, TASH is equipped to deliver handmade distinguished pieces of Jewelry at exceptional prices.
