Indepth Dive Jewellery was created by Chris’s love of his Wife and his love of scuba diving …
In 2007 Chris started “dating” the lady who one day become his Wife (no, we don’t know why either) and obviously, he wished to share his love of diving with Taew, the lady in question. By this time, Chris had been teaching Scuba Diving for 14 years, 7 years as a PADI Course Director, and in fact, she was
the first PADI Open Water Course he had taught for many years, having been teaching PADI Instructor Courses full time for a decade. As she loved diving, especially one particular scuba diver, Chris bought her a DiveSilver 925 Sterling Silver Pendant of a Scuba Diver. At the time, she worked as a Nursing Centre Director in one of the top international hospitals in Bangkok, although living on Phuket. As happens when working in a busy hospital, somehow, she lost the pendant at work. However, that was when the “problem” started! Chris could not find one again on Phuket. He went to the place he first bought it, then the other dive centres which used to stock DiveSilver, but no one had any jewellery. It was just empty displays who the odd token piece left in it. At The ADEX Dive Show in Singapore in 2017, on the last day after a crazy busy Dive Show, Chris found the DiveSilver Booth!!! AND FINALLY, was able to buy Taew (by now his Wife) a new 925 Sterling Silver Scuba Diver Pendant. Not the one he first purchased, but the awesome “Divers in Love” Pendant complete with heart-shaped Ruby. And some earrings and a few other bits and pieces. The next thing Chris did was speak with Peter, the founder, owner and CEO of DiveSilver, to ask, “Why is there no DiveSilver available in Thailand for the past X years?” As Peter began to explain, one very simple thought came into Chris’s head and, typically, came straight out of his mouth:
NO PROBLEM, PETER, I WILL DO IT IF NO ONE ELSE IS GOING TO !!!! And that was the beginning of Indepth Dive Jewellery …………
Having spent quite some time on this project: spending time at the factory in Samut Prakan (just South of Bangkok), having been immersed in 100’s of designs (and we do mean 100’s), different displays and 101 things Chris had never thought about. We are now proud to be “officially” launching Indepth Dive Jewellery, the DiveSilver Jewellery Distributor for Asia. There is still a lot of work to be done for Indepth Dive Jewelry to grow into what Chris believes is possible. Having spent the best part of 2 years looking at jewelry, there simply is NOTHING that compares with DiveSilver when it comes to handcrafted 925 Sterling Silver designs. Nothing!
