US Tariff Update: Silver Jewellery Imports

Following the February 20 announcement, a temporary 10% import duty has been introduced for a period of 150 days, starting February 24.

An important detail is that de minimis (duty-free low-value shipments) remains suspended, so all qualifying imports are subject to duties.

For silver jewellery, this results in:

• Items over $1.50 → 15% total duty
• Items under $1.50 → 23.5% total duty

Over the 150-day period:
• The tariff may be adjusted up to 15%
• Additional trade measures may be introduced
• The structure will be reviewed at the end of the period
