🌱 Hey friends! 🌿 Today, let's dive into the world of materials and explore the differences between Pine Resin and Polyurethane.

🌲🌿 Pine Resin: Pine resin is a sticky, viscous natural substance ,known for its versatility and durability, this natural resin is a fantastic choice for our eco-friendly ♻️ startup.

It's a type of material that can be derived from plant-based sources, making it more sustainable and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
It's also resistant to water, chemicals, and UV radiation, ensuring long-lasting results 😍.

Polyurethane or PU : It is a petroleum-based plastics toxic material ⚠️, that is made from fossil fuels 🛢

It is neither biodegradable nor recyclable 🚫♻️, it is among the biggest culprit behind our growing problem of microplastic pollution.

In fact, Polyurethane leather will take upwards of 500 years to degrade !

Moreover, the manufacturing of Polyurethane is associated with high energy consumption ↗️⚡ up to hundreds of KWh /ton compared to the low energy consumption in the pine resin extraction or production.

At GLBA, we're committed to finding innovative and eco-friendly 🌱 solutions every step of the way. By exploring alternatives like plant-based resins, we're striving to minimize our environmental footprint while creating beautiful, sustainable products.

Together, let's embrace these materials and make a positive impact on our planet! 🌍💚

From the animal farms to high-end fashion stores .

The alligator leather which is the top 5 most expensive 💰 leather in the world is sold for Approximately $500 – $1000 Per Square Foot.

Many luxury fashion brands like Hermès , Louis Vuiton and Prada use Alligator leather to create high-end leather products such as handbags👜, wallets, and shoes 👞 at the cost of the loss of lives and the profound suffering of these animals in the factory farms as well as in the slaughterhouses.

How the consumer accepts to pay such a high price ↗️ for crocodile leather garments, knowing that by this irresponsible behavior, they are encouraging the killing of more and more crocodiles every year 📈 ,solely for their skins .
And they are leading to more species endangerment and extinction 🐊🔫🚫

In fact, the cruelty of the leather industry didn’t stop , they continued hunting and using these innocent animals’ skins in producing luxury leather garments 💎 even when they were at the point of great danger of extinction.

It is urgent today ⚠️ to search for ethical alternatives that can help consumers make informed choices.

With GLBA , you can explore the bio based ☘ leather alternative , discover stylish and cruelty free options that can help animals and the environment.

From Nature to Industry : The dark side of leather Industry

The production of leather worldwide involves the slaughter of Billions of animals every year, including cows🐄, goats🐐, sheep🐑, and exotic animals like crocodiles🐊, snakes🐍, and kangaroos🦘.

Research has shown that Cow leather is the most widely used leather and accounts for about 65 to 70% of world leather production .

Moreover, 🌍 Millions of snake and crocodile skins are processed and turned , every year, into ”luxury” leather products 🛍 in the fashion industry such as handbags 👜 and belts .

These innocent animals are enduring unimaginable suffering and cruelty only for the sake of Fashion.

They are often subjected to inhumane conditions, cramped spaces, and harsh treatment in the slaughterhouses throughout their lives and during the slaughter process.

But ,It's time to challenge the status quo and make a change of this heartbreaking reality of animals who become victims of the fashion industry.

This is why it is urgent 📢 to rethink our choices as consumers & producers.
