很榮幸能代表華夏玻璃 (Hwa Hsia Glass),接受 The Economist Impact (經濟學人影響力) 的訪問,並在他們最新的亞太區年度報告《Rewired for resilience》中,分享我們在製造業 AI 應用的實戰經驗。
在這份由 Red Hat 與 Intel 支持的報告中,我與來自 Rakuten、Siemens China、Globe Telecom 等國際企業的領袖們,共同探討了企業如何跨越 AI 的實驗階段,邁向規模化應用。
對華夏玻璃而言,AI 不僅是新技術,更是「傳承」的關鍵。我們打造了 "Glass Bible" (玻璃聖經),這是一個 AI 導師系統,將工廠內老師傅數十年累積的隱性知識 (Tacit Knowledge) 轉化為即時、可查詢的數據。
正如我在報告中所提:"It used to take years for a technician to master our processes. Now every worker has a 24/7 coach." (過去技術員需要數年才能掌握的工藝,現在每位員工都有了一位 24/7 的 AI 教練。)
這證明了傳統製造業在導入 AI 時,重點不在於炫技,而在於解決核心痛點——縮短培訓週期、提升良率,並證明投資回報 (ROI)。

I am honored to represent Hwa Hsia Glass in an interview with The Economist Impact. In their latest APAC annual report, Rewired for Resilience, I shared our practical experience with AI implementation in the manufacturing sector.
In this report, supported by Red Hat and Intel, I joined leaders from global enterprises such as Rakuten, Siemens China, and Globe Telecom to discuss how businesses can move beyond the experimental phase of AI and transition toward scalable application.
For Hwa Hsia Glass, AI is more than just new technology; it is the key to preserving our heritage. We developed the "Glass Bible," an AI mentorship system that transforms the tacit knowledge accumulated by master craftsmen over decades into real-time, accessible data.
As I mentioned in the report: "It used to take years for a technician to master our processes. Now every worker has a 24/7 coach."
This demonstrates that for traditional manufacturing, the focus of AI adoption isn't about chasing trends, but addressing core pain points: shortening training cycles, improving yield rates, and demonstrating measurable ROI.
