The Diamond Shop We are a family owned, full-service jewelry and repair shop serving Ada's jewelry needs since 1962. Mike is also a longtime member of Rotary International.

The Diamond Shop, founded in 1962, is Ada, Oklahoma's premier family owned and operated jewelry store. With three generations of family serving South Central Oklahoma for over 50 years. Owners, Mike and Sandra Roberts, are members of Oklahoma Jewelry Association (OJA), Jewelers of America (JA), and are Master IJO Jewelers. There's something about a great watch peeking out from under a well-cut coat that just works. October is when the whole look levels up. Intentional. Polished. Completely unbothered. 😎

Men come in all the time and ask Kelly, "Do you have men's rings?" We do. We just got some new ones in, all heavy yellow gold, and several of them are nugget rings.

There's one with a round diamond set in the middle, a square-top, a horseshoe, and a band with a row of channel-set diamonds. Kelly says people around here really love the nugget look. In her words, "Kind of that country cowboy look."

Same grade, same size, and the online price is lower. Fair question: what's the catch?

A lot of online stones are drop-shipped. The site lists it, a supplier mails it, and nobody's paying for a case or a bench. That can be a good buy. Just add up the whole ring before you decide, because you still want to see the actual stone, somebody still has to set it and size it, and somebody has to check those prongs down the road.

You don't see many garnets cut like this. It's a trapezoid, set flat under a thin bar of small diamonds on a gold chain.

A good one for somebody who already has the classic red stone and wants something a little different. Or for anybody with a January birthday.
