Little Big Shots We are a fireworks manufacturing, display and consumer fireworks retail/wholesale outlet. Little Big Shots is a company formed in 1990 by owner Albert Knoblach.

The company is a typical story of a hobby that eventually becomes a business. Although in either instance, it is the owner's passion. It all started out by purchasing a handful of display shells from a local firework manufacturing company and doing a display on his parent's farm. From this first rag-tag show and a lot of hard work, the Little Big Shots has grown into an established display company

, a retail store of consumer fireworks and a highly regarded manufacturer of display shells and salutes. Here at Little Big Shots, we specialize in manufacturing salutes (the noise you hear in a professional display), lampares (the only manufacturer in the US) and custom manufactured ball shells (one to four color changing); Little Big Shots has been committed to producing the highest quality display shells available. As was once quoted to Albert during his journey of self-taught pyrotechnic adventure, "A firework shell is the only art that you have to destroy to enjoy". Regardless if it is a three-inch magnum salute or a twelve-inch willow diadem to magenta to silver twinkler ball shell, the Little Big Shots strives to produce each shell so it is the "art" of your particular use.

It’s hard to believe it’s Labor Day weekend already. Most of the fairs are wrapped up, nights are chilly and the leaves on certain trees in some locations are starting to change color. We have the last display of the regular summer schedule tonight in Morgantown, WV. If you’re in that area, stop by for the show.

This young fellow couldn’t be happier chewing on a bomb pop and celebrating his independence on a pile of Little Big Shots fireworks. I understand his elation. I also must point out he is sitting on a PILE of fireworks. Little Big Shots still has plenty of inventory and we are open 9-8 tomorrow the 5th. Stop in and load up to continue celebrating.

As I promised, the second quote from my fireworks hero of long ago. First some education. A lot of people come to our store and ask to buy mortars. What they don’t realize is a “mortar” is actually the tube you shoot a “shell” out of. You load the shell into the mortar, light the fuse and get away. The picture I included is a box of shells. These are all tied together as they are used in one of our fireworks finales. My friend, who had been in the fireworks business for a long time and had seen many people come and go as employees or enthusiasts coined this phrase. “Fireworks is a nuts magnet, but it’s the only time you want to throw away all the nuts and keep the shells”. Over the years I’ve seen plenty of nuts in the fireworks business. I guess having done this business/hobby for my entire life, I would say I’m a nut too! If your nuts for fireworks, stop in to Little Big Shots and feed your enthusiasm. We are open from 9 to 8 daily.

A bittersweet photo of a multi-shot display firework that was used to entertain the crowds at the annual Meyersdale fireworks display. A long time ago one of my hero’s in the firework industry said to me, “Fireworks are the only art form that you must destroy, to enjoy it”. My friend is long gone but his statement always rings in my head, especially this time of year. In a couple days I’ll tell you another one of his quotes I hold dear, although the next one isn’t as thought provoking. In the mean time you need to be stocking up on your own art forms at Little Big Shots. We are open 9 to 8 daily thru the forth. We still have plenty of inventory, but coming early allows a more relaxed shopping experience!

I’m sitting around in the rain drinking a bourbon and Coke celebrating Juneteenth. The flag for Juneteenth kinda reminds me of an exploding firework. If you are thinking the same and are thinking about getting fireworks for the next best holiday, July Fourth, head up to Little Big Shots. Today and tomorrow we are open till 7. Hey pyro friends. Looks like it’s been a long time since my last post. Life is like that sometimes! I am at a bit of a loss for writing one of my side splitting, humerous posts that you may have become accustomed to. Those usually are attributed to lack of sleep, high stress and a spot of Jack Daniels.

Anyway, we are open seven days a week, 11 to 7 this week, with expanding hours each week until the Fourth of July. All the hours are posted on the website at littlebigshots. Net.

Ahhhh! The pain, the agony!! Don’t be like this poor woman with no fireworks on Labor Day. Little Big Shots is open till 7 pm today. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we are open from 11 am till 4 pm. If these times don’t work, please give us a call and we will try to fix you up. In the meantime, remember to breathe!!!
