My grandmother, Nan, was a seamstress.

Some of my sweetest childhood memories are sitting beside her, working with our hands, sewing, quilting, gardening, baking, and talking about life and whatever I happened to be dreaming about.

Looking back, I don’t remember her ever having a lot. But she was rich in all the ways that mattered: creativity, generosity, curiosity, and love.

So much of who I am was formed sitting beside her.

The Nan diamond, floating on our delicate 14k Golden Thread, reminds me of what she left behind, small, faithful acts of love woven together into something far greater than any one moment.
