New Work by Glenn Gomez is Here ✨

Discover new pottery and sculpture by Pojoaque Pueblo artist Glenn Gomez, now available at the Indian Pueblo Store.

Glenn works with micaceous clay, a unique clay naturally rich in mica that creates a beautiful shimmer when it catches the light. For generations, Pueblo potters have used micaceous clay not only for its striking appearance but also for its strength and durability. Traditionally, micaceous pottery was prized for cooking and daily use because it withstands heat exceptionally well.

Today, artists like Glenn continue this tradition while adding their own creative vision. His handcrafted bowl with turquoise accents and bear sculpture reflect a living art form rooted in Pueblo culture, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the land where the clay is gathered.

Every piece tells a story of tradition carried forward through the hands of today's Native artists.
