SUD Coordinator position

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a compassionate, organized professional to support inmates with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health needs.

In this role, you’ll oversee in-custody treatment services, provide programming, coordinate release plans, and connect individuals with community-based care. You’ll also collaborate with courts, detention staff, clinical providers, and criminal justice partners to help ensure continuity of treatment after release.

The right candidate will bring strong communication and coordination skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality, equity, and trauma-informed care. Experience working in substance use treatment, behavioral health, corrections, reentry services, case management, or a related field is a plus.

Yesterday, Captain Rael read the proclamation securing approval for memorial signs honoring Sgt. Michael Schlattman on both sides of I-40 at Mile Marker 171.

We are grateful to Captain Rael and State Representative Stefani Lord for their dedication to making this memorial possible.

No sign can fill the void Michael left for his family, friends and BCSO family. These signs will keep his legacy visible while reminding every driver to slow down and move over for first responders working along our roadways.
