Still thinking about yesterday at Meta in NYC. What a whirlwind.
Meta invited 10 small business owners from around the country to spend the day at their NYC offices, and when I say the day, I mean ALL day. We sat in a room with the people who actually build Facebook and Instagram, engineers, product folks, UX designers, and more, and they genuinely wanted to hear from us.
And they listened. They asked questions. They took notes. We talked about what works, what doesn’t, what drives us crazy, and what would actually make running a small business easier.
It’s easy to forget that a company as enormous as Meta is still made up of actual humans, and yesterday I got to spend the day with a whole bunch of them who really care about small businesses like ours.
As someone rebuilding her business from the ground up after the Eaton Fire, being invited into that room and being heard meant a lot.
Meta is working on some new features designed to help small businesses work smarter, and they asked us to help shape them. More on that soon.
