My name is Mayra and I am the owner/designer of Via Vay Jewelry Designs. I've created jewelry for years as a hobby, but it wasn't until 2012 that I began offering my pieces to the public. All of the jewelry offered in my shop are items that I have personally designed and handcrafted. I enjoy working with high-quality materials from around the globe -- gemstones and glass b
eads; Sterling Silver, copper, and other metals; Swarovski crystal, and more. I'm always excited to try new ideas and methods, so my jewelry collection is constantly evolving. I was born in Panama City, Panama and spent my childhood growing up in both Panama and Costa Rica. My jewelry designs are strongly influenced by my upbringing on the beautiful Caribbean coast, as well as my love of nature and travel. I strive to create simple, elegant designs with a touch of fun and exotic flair. My greatest inspiration is my beloved mother. She worked hard for many years, making and selling dresses in order to provide for my siblings and I. My wish is to continue her tradition of handcrafting custom items to share with others. I currently live in Arlington, TX with my wonderful husband. I love to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with my precious grandchildren.
