Cartier Santos WSSA0029
2023, Box and Papers
$7,200

With a rich history dating back to 1847, Cartier debuted the what we know as the Santos in 1904, when Louis Cartier designed a watch for his friend, the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, who wanted to read the time without taking his hands off the controls. It was one of the first wristwatches ever made for regular use, and its square case with exposed screws has stayed recognizable for over a century. The Santos de Cartier carries that original design forward, with a square bezel secured by eight exposed screws, a fully integrated bracelet, and the QuickSwitch which allow you to change straps without tools.

This example is the WSSA0029, a stainless steel 35mm medium model with a silvered opaline dial, black Roman numerals, and blued steel sword-shaped hands. A faceted spinel sits on the crown, and the watch is protected by a sapphire crystal.
It comes complete with the original box and papers, along with a light brown leather strap fitted with a Cartier deployment buckle, so you can switch between the steel bracelet and the leather strap in seconds. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches

Grand Seiko Heritage SBGX261
2025, Box and Papers
$2,500

Grand Seiko dates back to 1960, when Seiko set out to build the best wristwatch in the world, judged by accuracy, durability, legibility, and beauty. In 2017 it became a fully independent marque, but its philosophy has never changed. The 9F quartz caliber, introduced in 1993, is the clearest expression of it: a quartz movement built with the same care as the brand’s mechanical watches, accurate to ±10 seconds per year. The Heritage Collection carries the classic Grand Seiko design language, with sharp, distortion-free mirror polishing set against a satin-finished case.

This example is the SBGX261, a stainless steel 37mm model with a matte black dial and applied indices. The date sits at 3 o’clock, under a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. It’s slim and compact enough to slide under a cuff, yet durable enough for everyday wear. This beautiful watch is powered by Grand Seiko’s in house 9F62 caliber. It’s a watch for someone who wants the legendary Grand Seiko craftsmanship without the maintenance necessary for a mechanical movement. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches

Jules Jurgensen Spaceman ref. 46617/7
1974-1977
$900

Designed by Andre LeMarquand as the follow-up to his hugely successful “Spaceman,” the Audacieuse arrived in the mid-1970s and took the design in a new direction. Where the original echoed an astronaut’s helmet, the Audacieuse trades the rounded form for a straight-lined, trapezoidal case inspired by spacecraft, with a bold, angular profile that is unmistakably Space Age. The Catena Watch Company produced the model for several brands, including Zeno, Omax, Kotana and Jules Jurgensen. All variants were offered with either a 17-jewel manual-wind or 25-jewel automatic movement. This example is the manual-wind version.

This Jules Jurgensen is set in a stainless steel and black PVD case. The off-white dial uses a crosshair pattern in place of traditional indices, and an orange-clad sweeping seconds hand adds a bright contrast against the black and steel. The watch has been recently serviced and is ready to wear. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches

Rolex Datejust ref. 116234
2007
$10,500

The Datejust dates back to 1945, when Rolex introduced it as the first self-winding chronometer wrist watch to display the date in a window on the dial. Rolex has refined the formula ever since, but the essentials have never changed: an Oyster case, a Cyclops lens over the date, and a fluted bezel that has become one of the most recognizable shapes in watchmaking. The 116234 belongs to the modern generation of the Datejust 36, produced from the early 2000s until the model was replaced by the 126234 in 2018. It pairs a stainless steel case with a white gold fluted bezel, a combination that gives the watch its bright, refined look without the price of a full precious metal piece.

This example wears a blue dial with stick indices, but the real standout is the roulette date wheel: the date numerals alternate between red (odd) and black (even), a feature Rolex has used on the Datejust since the 1950s, a detail that collectors still seek out today. Inside is the Rolex’s 3135 caliber, the workhorse automatic that powered Rolex’s catalog for nearly two decades, known for its reliability and ease of service. It’s a watch with real heritage in a size that works with a suit or a t-shirt. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches

Rolex Explorer I ref. 124270
2023, Box and Papers
$9,000

Since Sir Edmund Hillary’s era, the Explorer has stood for quiet confidence, and the 36mm 124270 brings that heritage back in its purest form. Cut from Oystersteel with a slim, balanced profile, it wears like the classic Explorers that came before it. The black dial with its 3-6-9 numerals glows with Chromalight, so it stays legible in any light, and the Oyster bracelet with Easylink extension adjusts for comfort in seconds. Inside is the Caliber 3230, with a Chronergy escapement, a Parachrom hairspring, a 70-hour power reserve, and Superlative Chronometer accuracy of -2/+2 seconds a day. It’s engineered for the long haul and water resistant to 100 meters.

It has no flash, only substance, which is exactly why collectors love it. It goes from a boardroom to a trailhead and looks right in both, and it fits nearly any wrist. Few watches combine this much heritage, precision, and versatility, and even fewer hold their value as well. If you’ve been looking for the one watch that does it all, this is it. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches.

Omega Speedmaster Reduced, ref. 3510.50.00
1999, naked
$3,100

Presenting an icon: the Omega Speedmaster “Reduced,” ref. 3510.50.00, or the mini Moonwatch. Produced from the late 1990’s into the 2000s as a more accessible, wearable alternative to the full-size Speedmaster Professional, it keeps everything that makes the Speedmaster instantly recognizable: the black tri-compax dial, tachymeter bezel, and twisted lyre lugs, all scaled down into a 39mm stainless steel case. It’s the same DNA as the legendary Moonwatch, just sized for everyday wear.

Under the case sits the automatic caliber Omega 3220, providing a 40-hour power reserve without ever needing to hand-wind. The Hesalite crystal keeps things period-correct and easy to service, making this a great option for collectors who want classic Speedmaster styling with a more compact, automatic package. Available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches.

Franck Muller Transamerica ref. 2000L
2007, Box and Papers
$2,750

Known as the Master of Complications, Franck Muller started his career working for private collections and museums on pocket watches with multiple complications. In 1991 he decided to open his own watch house to bring unique and complicated watches to the 21st century.

This Transamerica 2000L is no exception; its movement is the in-house 200A Accurotor, which has a traditional rotor that charges an internal battery cell and powers this auto-quartz watch. The battery can also be charged by simply winding the watch by the crown. This unique piece is available exclusively at Asbury Park Watches.
