I can’t remember the last time i did a paint-by-number- but I’m hooked!!

On one of those dreary rainy evenings last week, Alex and I had a craft night. Which for two creatives is usually everyday haha- but this was craft purely for fun and play- and boy was it needed!! I don’t think either of us said a word for 2 hours, we were totally immersed in our own little projects.

There is something so instantly satisfying about a paint-by-number; you don’t have to think or plan or worry about the outcome- just follow the numbers, stay kinda within the lines and voila! You have a funky painting!

Your insta is broken, i haven’t been hacked…these are actual reminders i made and put around my house- my muse, 🤣 read on to learn why he sits on my spice shelf and dresser…

A few years ago, when i knew i needed a change but had no idea how to start, i had an amazing creative business coach At the time i was working on making fashionable medic alert bracelets- a cause close to my heart- my mom is a Type 1 diabetic and always hated the ugly but necessary stainless steel bracelets…

Anyway, while i was working with LA, she challenged me to envision my muse and make reminders to keep me motivated. Much to my surprise, a Wilford Brimley pep talk was what came up 🤪 must have been all those “diabeetus” ads in the 90s…

This was also one of my first photoshop projects 🤣

So, everyday in a few places around the house, the immortal Wilford Brimley reminds me of two very important things: 1. We don’t have forever- we only get so much time in this life, don’t waste it and 2. Im the only one that can create the life i want and make my dreams come true 🩷
