A BRIEF HISTORY ON FIELD WATCHES:

Early: 1900's Wrist watches were originally socially acceptable only for women since pocket watches were more gentlemanly.

World War I: Soldiers needed a fast and accurate way to check artillery timing. They also needed it to withstand the harsh trench conditions. Hence, the trench watch.

World War II: Various armed forces world wide adopted the use of wrist watches as it significantly decreased casualties. During this time many advancements became of watches as they sought to make them more robust.

Post-War Era: Field watches were marketed toward "The rugged man" and became popular among outdoor enthusiasts and professionals.

Modern Field Watches: Keeping the same tradition, Field watches maintain their classic aesthetic and reliability all while benefiting from the advancements in horology of the modern age.
