MaeLynn Art and Design Fluid art, wire-wrapped gemstone jewelry, resin pieces, and one-of-a-kind creations-each handmade with creativity and care.

MaeLynn Art and Design is owned and operated by two sisters on a journey to turn our passion for creativity into a thriving small business. Inspired by color, movement, and the beauty of nature, we create abstract art by using fluid painting techniques and designing one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Our jewelry is handcrafted with gemstones, crystals, beads, resin, and even upcycled pain skins from our art - giving new life to every medium we touch. While we also enjoy making bookmarks, ornaments, and other small treasures, our main focus and passion is sharing unique art and jewelry that carries both beauty and meaning. Every creation is made with care, intention, and a bit of sisterly collaboration. Through MaeLynn Art and Design, we hope to share our love of art and creativity with others by offering pieces that are as distinctive as the people who wear or display them.

Sometimes I look at one of my creations and think, “Wow! This is amazing and so cool!”

Then, about a month later, I look at it again and think, “What in the world was I thinking?!”

That’s exactly what happened with these earrings. I saw them and immediately thought, “Heck NO! There is absolutely no way I should have ever put these on display!” 🤦‍♀️

So, I took them apart, changed the things I didn’t like, and put them back together.

And honestly… MUCH, MUCH BETTER!

I guess sometimes our creations just need a little time to marinate before we realize what needs fixing!

A little peek at one of our newest designs… and seriously, look at those tiny details 😍

These Tree of Life earrings are the definition of handmade. Each individual earring takes more than 1 hour to create—not the pair. Just ONE 🤯

The circular frame is shaped by hand. Each tiny root is individually cut and carefully twisted around the frame, coming together at the base before branching out to form the tree. Then, each gemstone is woven into the branches one by one until everything sits just right.

And because they’re made completely by hand, no two trees will ever be exactly alike.

That’s one of our favorite things about handmade pieces. You’re not getting something made by the thousands—you’re getting something someone sat down and spent hours creating, one tiny detail at a time.

We’d absolutely love for one of our handmade pieces to become part of your collection. And if you’re just here to admire the pretty things, a follow means a whole lot to our little business too 🥰

Handmade. One piece at a time. Never exactly duplicated.

Meet Cutie! I'm

Cutie’s a much-loved stuffed penguin keychain with a very important job today.

The youngest kiddo asked us to look after him while he’s at school, so of course, we’re taking the job seriously.

He’s hanging out here, keeping an eye on everything we do. Clearly, he’s making sure we stay on track and don’t get into too much trouble!

Don’t worry, Cutie—we’ve got you covered until your kiddo gets home!

Please note: Cutie is not for sale.

Getting back into my creative space 🎨
I've been wanting to give this technique another shot. When done correctly it looks like flower petals and is beautiful but as with any form of art, it takes practice.

The first painting is a peek at my 2nd try from thai past weekend. While I think it is beautiful, it's not the outcome I was going for.

That's ok! I'll just keep practicing and eventually it'll get closer to what I want.

The second painting was my first attempt at this technique. I can see the improvement already! Brush strokes look more intentional and less messy IMO I went out and got different brushes after this one.

So what do you think? Do you see flowers or anything resembling a plant or petal?

We’ve gotten pretty good at filtering out the scammers.

One of the biggest red flags is when they ignore the fact that Square is our only accepted payment method and immediately start suggesting other apps or different ways to pay. 🚩

A quick look at their profile usually tells us everything we need to know. No friends, barely any activity, or a last post from 10 years ago? Yeah… probably not legit.

We’ve been getting A LOT of these lately, and honestly… shame on them! Trying to take advantage of small businesses and hardworking people is just wrong. 😡

But to all of you who are genuine, who support us, purchase from us, share our posts, recommend us, and follow through with your purchases—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We truly value and appreciate every single one of you. You are the reason we keep creating, growing, and doing what we love.

Thank you for supporting our small business!

Yesterday, I challenged myself to create something beautiful out of all the random little pieces I had dropped and set aside. Today, I finished the challenge!

The final results: 3 bracelets, 4 pairs of earrings, and 6 pendants!

The trickiest part was definitely figuring out what to do with those tiny little links, but I think they all turned out pretty nice!
