Lunar Rain® is a fine jewellery brand designed by Canadian artist Melissa Chen, who founded the brand after a decade of collecting vintage and antique jewellery. s of seaweed and kelp, tall trees and misty mountains can be found in the dendritic agate that is used in many of the designs. Occasionally, the mineral inclusions in the agate look uncannily like fragments of nature caught in stone or like magical miniature paintings. Aquamarine, moonstone, amber, malachite and other precious materials are also used in the designs, always surrounded in gold, silver or pearls. Because of the nature of precious and semi-precious gemstones and pearls, all pieces of fine jewellery made with gemstones are unique works of art. Each piece of jewellery is designed to best suit the visual features of each unique stone.

A few of the frog pieces I designed based on the little frogs hopping around in my garden! The species of frog is the Pacific tree frog. The fully grown ones in my garden are about one inch in length. They are green or greenish brown and with a black eye stripe. 🐸❤️

I just got back home and there are baby tadpoles and frogs everywhere around my lotus plants. They are so cute! I’ve never seen so many in one place before! 🥰❤️🐸

Our new Aquarius Locket Necklace made of 18k gold with diamonds and quartz rock crystal on one of our hand painted porcelain dishes. I decided to depict just the water pitcher and the water pouring out of it because I felt it would look more elegant than the full figure. 💦✨🎨🖌️

Our new Fig Fairy Necklace in front of one of our fig trees! It’s a rotating story of a wasp turning into a fairy in 18k solid gold with rubies and pink sapphires. And when the figs in the background get to the same size as the pendant they are going into my stomach :) We’re really into gardening organic fruit and veg and ate so many figs last summer but this year there are more! 😋🍽️🐝🧚

A look at our new zodiac lockets made of 18k gold, diamonds and quartz rock crystal. From the side, they look like glowing orbs of light! Each design was carefully illustrated to ensure a cohesive style across all twelve zodiac signs. Leo and Aries are unique, featuring sculptural animal heads rather than traditional reliefs.
