1. It rained here a couple days ago for the first time in two months. TWO MONTHS. Couple that with the fact that we had 45 days in a row of triple digit temps. My yard looks like I just sent the barrels of hay off to feed the cows. It’s bad.
2. After months of no rain and seemingly never ending heat - it hits 91 here and people are busting out all the autumnal colors, ordering the pumpkin whatever, and practically cheering in the streets. What did I do? Made fall inspired earrings and chili for dinner! Obvi.
3. Allie staring up at me (as I’m photographing 👆 earrings) with a look that says “Can you do NOTHING about him? I mean, you are, uh, The Mother. I mean, what is he even doing?!” My response - 🤷🏼‍♀️

We visited the second best nursery I’ve over been to in my life on Monday!!! It felt like I had tumbled into the pages of The Secret Garden. There were paths going in a million directions like a choose your own adventure book! It had umpteen archways made from some sticks and string and some stunning vine that was miraculously green even tho up until last week their last rain was in MARCH! (tell me again that global warming is a hoax.🤦🏼‍♀️)
The place was thrilling. It was a good hour of my mom and I shouting “come look at this!” to each other over and over.
I highly recommend!! It’s worth the cruise out to BlueBell country!🍦❤️

My little slice of heaven for the last 4 days.
I’ve been seriously jonesing for a quiet getaway. I was finally able to pin every down and we made it happen.
I used to assume that everyone has a family just like me but over the years I’ve learned how not true that is.
My family is like any family, they have they’re flaws but for the most part they are pretty effing fantastic. They rally when it’s needed, they comfort when that’s what’s called for, and they push when they know we are capable.
We like each other. We spend time together on purpose.
So the last four days were just what the Dr ordered. Rest, love, and tons of laughter.

Nothin’ to see here but this tiny white frog!!!
I’d never seen a white frog before. I secretly named him Cormron. Shh, don’t tell my family, they’ll think I’m weird. 😳
My parents treated us to four day/nights in a LOVELY rental near Round Top. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. 2 naps, 3 games of co****le, 1 movie, 4 games, 7,949 pounds of delicious food, 10 people, 1 dog, 6 chapters of my book read, 997 wasps, 1 music disagreement but only bc my dad was wrong😜, and 0 arguments. So I’d say that was a darn successful trip. I’m a very lucky girl. ❤️

Just grew these little flowers.
Added them to my shop, cheerful little things that they are! With their chrysoprase leaves and vintage buds. So sweet, so cheery.
