“Aguilegia” (2025)
Precious Metal Clay (Bronze / .999 Silver)
Hi. Just wanted to share this little sculpture I made for a wedding gift. Have been experimenting for the past about year with techniques and this piece has one of them, and I don’t even know why it works to be honest lol. I’ve been heavily experimenting with the process of combining .999 silver directly onto bronze specifically using precious metal clay and this is one of the outcomes. I’ve been wanting to share a proper update, but just wanted to share this piece in the meanwhile. This is a Colorado Blue Columbine that is displayed in a shadowbox with bronze, .999 accents/detailing, and patina’d with liver of sulfur. I’m going to post an update with new directions for my craft as well as new approaches to things. I also just don’t like being on social media. I look forward to sharing what has developed over time for those interested.
