The Michelin Guide just added new names to its South Florida list, and this is where it gets interesting.

Some are now Bib Gourmand, meaning good food at a good value. Others were added as Recommended restaurants, which means Michelin inspectors believe they are worth knowing, even if they do not have a star.

This is not a ranking yet. It is the beginning of the conversation.

From Middle Eastern in North Miami to Cuban fine dining in West Palm Beach, Peruvian in North Miami Beach, Chinese in Miami, omakase in Coral Gables, Indian in West Palm Beach, Mexican in Miami, and more, these are the new spots entering the Michelin conversation in SoFlo.

Now I want to know: which one would you try first?

Mexican food in Miami is often reduced to tacos, margaritas, and a very predictable night out.
The Mexican in Brickell Key makes a very different case.
This is the kind of place you book when you want dinner to feel like a real Saturday night plan. The place is beautiful, the Brickell skyline does half the work, and the food actually keeps up with the setting.
What surprised me most is that the menu doesn’t behave like the Mexican food people usually expect in Miami. Yes, there are familiar flavors, but then they show up with smoke, technique, truffle, beautiful plating, and an elote dessert that makes you question everything you thought you knew about corn.
This works if you want Mexican cuisine with a more elegant, contemporary, northern Mexican point of view.
Skip it if you’re expecting a casual taquería moment. Go if you want dinner to feel like a night out.
More about design, fire, flavor, and a very Miami kind of Saturday night.

Finding a crêperie in Coral Gables where everyone in the group chat actually agrees is harder than it sounds.
Turns out there is one. Sweet, savory, light, indulgent — it has it all. And it is not what you would expect.
Send this to whoever you can never agree with on where to eat.

I went to SAVOR SoFLO 2026 thinking we’d casually try a few bites and somehow ended up leaving completely obsessed with one flavor, and it’s probably not what you’d expect.

The event had everything. So many different flavors, chefs competing live, cocktails everywhere, tasting stations all over the place, and honestly such a fun atmosphere from beginning to end.

One of my favorite little details was Cork Toon because they basically turned your face into a cartoon version of yourself on a cork, and it ended up being such a cute souvenir to take home.

The chef competition included Chef Sean Collins from Margaritaville Restaurants, Chef Ashley Blewett from Mastro’s, Chef Samer Altillawi from Sufrat, and Chef Michael Romano from The Palm.

And yes… Mastro’s won again with Chef Ashley Blewett, tying with Chef Samer Altillawi from Sufrat. That makes it the second year in a row for Mastro’s, and after trying Mastro's dish, we totally understood why.

This is definitely one of those events you show up hungry for because there’s way too much to try in one day.

Comment below: would you go for the food or the cocktails?

This year at Tortuga Music Festival 2026 I decided to look beyond the stage.

Because yes, the music is incredible,
but what really stays with you is the energy

And somehow, that energy can be summed up in one word: YEEHAW 🤠

So we went around asking people to give us their best yeehaws… and this is what we found

There’s something beautiful about this moment in life
where you don’t need to prove anything to anyone
you just show up, feel the music, and allow yourself to have fun

That’s exactly what I found here
people letting go, laughing, connecting… living

Vote in the comments… who had the best yeehaw? 👀
We might have something special for the winner… 🤠
