I just finished this one of a kind butterfly necklace, featuring a male Large Green Banded Blue, carefully hand painted at a miniature scale and kiln fired into clear glass. In nature, this butterfly has a wingspan of about 1.5 inches, this painted version is just 7.5mm, making it a tiny study in detail and patience.

Suspended in antiqued brass, it feels like a small specimen preserved in time, delicate, luminous, and made slowly, layer by layer. This piece is now available in my shop for anyone drawn to subtle, nature inspired wearable art. 🦋

New! This hand painted enamel art glass necklace is now available on Etsy!
You will find it under the One of a Kind Gifts Section at the top of the menu in my shop.
I painted this in two layers to create more depth. I started with the tall grass on the back and then moved to the front to complete the mushrooms. It took a total of four firings to fully complete this project.

🌊These ocean inspired wearable art hippie Earrings are handmade glass in an organic stone design. They are made by layering stands of glass together by firing them in the kiln. I also layer in silver leaf for its reactive properties. This style is processed in the kiln twice to get the desired look. The result is a one of a kind nature inspired stone design. The earrings are individually made but created side by side so that they are as matching as possible. These earrings are like little ocean inspired suncatchers! The layers are like little landscapes.
