When we opened the doors of our store in 1867, we were one of the first jewelry stores in the area. Herman Hiss is one of the most trusted jewelry stores in the Great Lakes Bay Area. People from throughout Bay, Saginaw and Midland, Michigan, have come to rely on Herman Hiss for new jewelry, custom-designed jewelry, appraisals and repairs, watches and gifts. The family-owned business has been passed down through four generations. But we don’t rest on our past. We strive for excellence every day.

Are you doing these things to keep your ring safe? 👀

We know it’s not always easy to follow every one of these tips, but if there’s one thing you shouldn’t skip, it’s getting your ring professionally cleaned and inspected!

Regular inspections help catch loose prongs, worn settings, and other damage that can be difficult to spot with the naked eye. Catching these issues early can help prevent more serious damage or even losing a diamond. Professional cleanings also remove built-up dirt and grime that can dull your ring’s sparkle. ✨

That’s why we offer free ring cleaning and inspections at Herman Hiss! Just stop in, and one of our specialists will be happy to clean and inspect your ring on site. 🤍
