I was very lucky enough to attend the TONYs in 2010 with my mom and a friend. Unfortunately, it was just a few months before I entered treatment for Anorexia.

While I remember the excitement of being there, I also remember how much of the experience was overshadowed by my illness. Instead of being fully present, my mind was consumed by food, guilt, body image, and simply trying to make it through the next meal. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t able to experience that night through the lens of a healthy mind.

If I could speak to that 15-year-old version of myself today, I’d tell her: “Don’t worry. You’ll get another chance. One day, your jewelry will be worn by the woman who wins Best Actress on that very stage.” What is this life??

It certainly has a beautiful way of bringing things full circle.

Thank you for giving me the soul-fulfilling moment I didn’t know I needed. You’re an icon. So grateful to work with you.

Designing this yellow diamond pendant from a blank page in Cleveland… then watching it step onto the Met Gala on Lauren Wasser was one of those moments.
