Store phone is officially disconnected. No further calls will be returned. If you need to reach me, please send an email to [email protected]. I may resume doing some small amounts of work at a later date if my hand tremors miraculously stop or the doctor can find something to help me with that problem. For now it is just too frustrating and painful to do anything.

I’m back in town and getting back to work today. I have one more set of beads to make then jewelry assembly begins. I think I have all the supplies I need 🤞.

I have yet another heart procedure on 9/18. I’d love to wrap up all the orders done by then but we’ll see. The last few months have been very trying and again, I am very appreciative of your patience.

Over the next several months I will be going through all of the jewelry, tools, beads, supplies, etc. that I brought home from the store. It will be listed on Facebook Marketplace under Michele Drennon Roeding. Prices are well below materials and labor cost. If you’d like to purchase anything, let me know. I will accept cash or Venmo. We can arrange to meet at a mutually agreed upon location for pickup.

I’ve already listed the items shown here. More to come this weekend!

Update on orders/repairs…

I’m starting to feel fairly normal again after my heart procedure. I’m trying to play catch up while taking care of my health. Here’s where things stand…all repairs are complete and back in the hands of their owners. This morning I finished processing flowers for the final three Keepsake Orders. This afternoon I’ll start making beads for the outstanding Keepsake Orders. When all beads for all orders are done I will assemble all the finished pieces. When everything is complete, I will call customers to arrange for pickup.

Thanks again for your patience. I can finally see the finish line!!

Good Morning! I wanted to provide an update on where I stand with repairs and Keepsake Orders. Again I apologize for the delays but I am doing the best I can.

I had heart surgery Friday and am working through the post procedure “stuff”. I wouldn’t say I’ve had a good day yet but am trying to make progress on outstanding work despite not feeling great. I appreciate the ongoing patience and grace that I receive from the vast majority of you ❤️. I hate being behind schedule. For the 8 years I operated the storefront I worked hard to meet my deadlines and feel terrible about the current situation.

I have one more repair order, which I’m hoping to finish today, depending on how I’m feeling. I will then move on to making beads for all of the outstanding Keepsake Orders. After all of the beads are made, I will assemble the finished pieces and will reach out to arrange for pickup. My goal is to have everything wrapped up by the end of August.

The last 2 repair jobs are on the table, ready to be worked! Hopefully they’ll be done today. We’ll see how ambitious I am 😬.

After these are finished I’ll be moving on to making all of the beads for the remaining Keepsake orders. After that, it’ll be assembly of remaining orders then I’ll be scheduling pickup!

Thanks again for your patience. I have what’s hopefully my final heart procedure on 7/11. I’ll be off my other job the following week and hopefully I’ll feel ok enough to crank out some jewelry work.

STATUS UPDATE…The supplies for all outstanding orders have been pulled and I’ve ordered the things I was out of. Here’s hoping the needed supplies are not back ordered 🤞 This weekend I’ll be working on repairs and will contact you when your repair is complete.

Next up after repairs…making the flower beads for the 18 outstanding Keepsake Orders.

Again, thank you for your patience. I’m doing everything I can to get all items out the door as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality and attention to detail.

Good evening! I wanted to share my current status for Keepsake orders and repairs. Suffice it to say I’m woefully behind schedule. I’m sorry about that. I’m working diligently to finish up everything. I’m providing a summary of my current approach to wrapping everything up. Rest assured, you’ll get a call to arrange pickup of completed items!

At the end of April I was hospitalized for heart issues. I have been overwhelmed with doctor appointments and testing. I’ll be having a more invasive procedure mid-July that will hopefully fix everything 🤞. Two weeks after being in the hospital I had vitreous gel in my left eye tear away from my retina. I had difficulty seeing and had to be cautious so as not to tear the retina and need emergency surgery or go blind. A week after that my daughter got married. Two weeks ago I got my first ever ear infection and have a new found understanding of kiddos that get them and the awful pain they’re in. The last week has been riddled with horrible side effects from some medication. Throw in my husband retiring in two weeks, having tons of life decisions to make around that, cramming in every doctor appointed possible before our insurance drastically changes, my other daughter breaking her finger and going to the ER and working my other job, and simply put, it’s been chaos.

My goal is to have all work done and back to customers by end of August. Here’s hoping life cooperates! I’m currently going through every outstanding order and pulling supplies. I know I’ll need to order supplies and want to place one order for everything needed to cut down on shipping expenses. When that’s done, I’ll be making the beads for every outstanding order. When all the supplies arrive and the beads are done, the next step will be to assemble everything. When it’s all done, my plan is to schedule a couple pickup windows for people to get their things. Again, you’ll get a call when everything is done.

I appreciate your patience and understanding with the delay. I hate being behind schedule but it’s been out of my control.

Roughly 6 of my last 10 meetings for drop off or pickup of orders/repairs have been no shows. As such, effective immediately, if we have a meeting scheduled and you don’t show, there will be a $20 fee added to the cost of your order. I will wait 15 minutes and if you don’t show and don’t call, I will leave.

Please be sure to write down your appointment date, time and location. I don’t have time to make reminder calls to everyone.

Thank you!

Well the hits just keep coming around here. I found out yesterday that I have torn vitreous gel in my left eye. Thankfully the retina didn’t tear! My left eye is blurry and covered in floaters and is making it very difficult to do my job. Between this and last week’s heart issue and all of the related doctor appointments, it’s making it impossible to do my job well and in a timely fashion. The stress of feeling so far behind schedule is really wearing on my. To protect my own health and sanity, I’ve decided to stop taking further Keepsake Orders and repairs.

If I’ve already talked to you about doing some work, I will gladly honor my commitment to do that, so long as I have your repair or order in hand by June 1. If you’ve already paid for an order or dropped off a repair, hang tight. I’m behind schedule but will get it done as quickly as I can.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Hello Everyone! It’s been roughly 2 months since the storefront in Bellevue closed. In that time I’ve continued to do Keepsake Item orders and repairs from my home. It’s proven to be much more challenging to operate this way than I anticipated. In addition to the work from home difficulties I’m encountering, I’ve developed some problems with my hands that’s making the job very difficult. I had carpal tunnel surgery a couple years ago and have never quite returned to normal. After a stint in the hospital in 2023, I was prescribed some medication which had a somewhat rare side effect of hand tremors. Lucky me, even after a perfectly clean bill of health and being taken off the meds, the tremors haven’t gone away.

Last fall, I had to take on a second job to keep the store afloat, which I was able to do through the end of January 2025. I’ve been asked to take on some additional hours at that job, which will ultimately decrease the amount of time I have to work on Keepsake Items and repairs.

All of these things have led my husband and I to the decision to fully close the business at the end of June 2025. I will continue to take in orders and repairs through June 30, 2025 and will get everything done as quickly as possible after that.

It’s been a joy to do this work for the last 8 years. I’ve met some very lovely people and have hopefully made items that are meaningful to the recipients. I appreciate the trust you have put in me. This wasn’t an easy decision by any means but is what my husband and I have determined is the best for us and our family moving forward.

I hate to see the idea of the Keepsake Items business go away. If there is anyone that would be interested in purchasing this portion of the business, please let me know.

I have an abundance of tools, jewelry making supplies and beads I will be selling. Please let me know if there’s anything you need and keep an eye on the store’s FB and IG pages for those things.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and again, thank you for your support ❤️
