WOW! Long post alert! It's been a minute. A year actually, since I last touched base. A difficult one, but the light is now in front of me and not at the end of the tunnel:) A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to every MANY of you who continued to order, even without social media and email reminders. I am so incredibly grateful to you!
The Whys and Whats:
I've never been comfortable dangling the private life stuff in my business feed, but I guess I have a good reason for being AWOL.
I took care of my step-mom Claire 24/7 for the last 5 1/2 years of her life as she bravely endured her blindness and Alzheimers. A harrowing journey for us both, and I am blessed and better for being given the opportunity to care for her. A bond was forged that I could not have imagined. 💙💙💙 The inevitable, the last half of 2024 brought the big heartache of rebab and eventually hospice. We all know how that story ends. Sooo, being bossy eldest ADHD/OCD executor tasked with the relentless onslaught of paperwork and sorting through over 50 large totes of family papers and hoarding boxes (still not done, but only 10 to go:) and being me - Every. Single. Thing. Has to be properly sorted🧐 donated, shredded, disposed of.....It's dang time consuming. But SO many tidbits of family lore and history tucked in these boxes, this unexpected side trip has been filled with laughter and tears. I will be sharing stories and photos on my personal page as time goes on. After that's done, the 1500 sq foot basement looms. 😂😂
