Good day to all you fine people. I tried once and stuck out. Should I try again to get a new Swatch AP collab? They had a total of 20 today but who knows about tomorrow.

Good afternoon watch peeps. Before everyone starts paying way over msrp for the Swatch Pop AP collab. I want to let everyone know there is a great alternative called the Bully Oak. Bulova produced these both in automatics and in quartzes. Now I will admit if Swatch uses the systems 51 in the new collab you will see me get some. Not at crazy $ but when I can get one from Swatch I will pull the trigger. Both collab pieces from Swatch have been production models. Now there are a few Moonswatches that were done in limited production but the regular ones are mass produced and can still be had at MSRP from Swatch.
The Bulova “Royal Oak” was made from mid 1970s to the mid 1980s I believe. It had around a 10 year production run and can be had currently for what I believe the Swatch AP collab will shoot up to at first between $1000-$2000. Now the automatic ones in good shape are getting harder and harder to find and you will see price reflect condition. Well anyway I hope everyone had a great and blessed day.

Always a great day when you get a deal done on a 1967 Bulova Accutron with a 14k yellow gold shield case. This one might have to stay on the wrist a while.

What a fun limited piece! You never know what’s coming in.

Well this year started off with a watch I’ve never owned before. This is a WWI trench watch. If this watch could talk the stories would be epic! As I understand it these are the beginning of men’s wristwatches as we know them. Now time to find the perfect bund for this puppy.

Ok I have a question. Which do you think looks better. I prefer function so I like the Turnograph “Thunderbird” a little better. So what you are looking at is a Rolex 16233 Datejust from 1996 on the left and on the right it is a Rolex Turnograph from the year 2001. The main difference is the rotating bezel you see on the Turnograph which can be used to time things if needed. Both watches are 36mm and are pretty identical in every other way besides the bezel. So what do you like and why?

1966 Rolex 1601 Datejust. Watch measures 36mm and is in good shape for a 59 year old watch. Leather strap is aftermarket and brand new. The silver sunburst dial has a few pin spots and has been relumed some time ago. For those who don’t know this was a process done after the original lume fades. A watchmaker would remove the old lume on the dial and replace it with new lume so it could glow at night like it did when it was new. On older watches it is real common to see this done and on this piece it really doesn’t affect its over all decent shape. As always I hope you have a great and blessed day and if you have any questions about this piece please don’t hesitate to reach out.
