I’ve been leaning into the shift of seasons with this current collection of jewelry I’ve been working on. While I’d choose summer over winter any day, I do appreciate the changing of seasons. The reset, the hibernation, the rest, the reflection, & even the longing for warmer & brighter days. I don’t think the warm & bright days would be quite as sweet if we didn’t have to make it through the darker & colder days.
I’ve been trying to embrace that shift with this collection. Appreciating this next season for what it is. A little darker, a little moodier, a little slower & even a little heavier too. A dying off & a shedding to make space for anew. There’s something about that shift that is just so inspiring to me when it comes to my work. It could surely just be that I’m spending more time in my studio creating, less time in my garden or out under the sun. But I also think part of it is the heaviness that the season brings. Somehow more ideas get stirred up & brought to life under that heaviness.
Anywho. Here’s a new pair of variscite, Montana sapphire, & White Buffalo turquoise earrings I made. A pair that could take you through any season really. They’ll be coming in my next small batch release - Saturday October 24 at 11am mst.
