NEW GALLAGHER GUITAR DAY! Gallagher Guitar Co.

Just got The Doc Watson model and it is nice! This is one of the most recognizable Gallagher guitars!

Features: Mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce top, herringbone trim, ivory bound body/fretboard/headstock, and a 1 3/4in neck with jumbo frets!

Some Doc history: this model was created in 1974 and Watson had been picking a G-50 for 6 years. Doc decided that he was ready for a new guitar. He originally learned how to play fiddle tunes on a Les Paul so Merle asked if Gallagher could a make a neck similarly sized for Doc’s new guitar. Now all Doc Watson models have a 1 3/4” neck with jumbo frets.

Have you seen the new baby grand yet?! This instrument is so sweet and how we got it is even sweeter…

Back in August we decided to give back to the community by fundraising for different organizations month to month. Sometimes when you do good things… good things happen in return. By chance, a member of the community stepped forward and donated this beautiful instrument and the proceeds will go to funding our donations for half a year! Come by, check it out, and learn more about this month’s community partner!

You guys are missing out if you haven't tried this guitar yet….

Some history you should know as a guitarist…. 🎸🎵
Before switching to Fender, Clapton was a Gibson purist known for playing a Les Paul, ES-335, and most iconically the “Fool” SG. 1970, Clapton stopped by Sho-Bud music store in downtown Nashville while on tour with Derek and the Dominoes. He was shown the backroom where he found a rack of vintage Strats all from the mid-50s. He walked out of the shop with 6 Strats for just a hundred bucks each. He kept three of these guitars for himself and gave the other 3 to some friends across the pond: Pete Townsend, Steve Winwood, and George Harrison. Clapton is most known for playing his black Stratocaster “Blackie” which was built by parting out the three strats he kept for himself from Sho-Bud.

This guitar is amazing and perfect for getting that Clapton signature sounds. The noiseless pickups are a game changer. Come by the store and try it out for yourself!
