This country was built by people it was never willing to claim.

That has always been the contradiction at the center - the labor essential, the laborer disposable. Today that contradiction is being enforced with heightened aggression. The people who harvest the food, raise the children, build the buildings - made into targets.

This is not new. And neither is the resistance.

May 1st exists because workers named that dynamic and refused it.
The original Labor Day. Not a celebration - a strike.
A declaration that the people who make the world run have the power to stop it.

This May Day, vyoo and Steep are gathering to raise money for Movimiento Cosecha — an immigrant-led movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all undocumented people. Every dollar from ticket sales goes directly to the local MA chapter.

With deep respect, we welcome Aurora Halal to 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨.

Aurora’s sets move with a steady intensity that holds the room from within. The energy doesn’t peak and disappear - it stays present, unfolding in layers that keep dancers locked in and attentive to each shift.

Through her residency at Nowadays, and her role shaping both Sustain-Release + Mutual Dreaming, she has helped cultivate spaces where sound is something you stay inside of, not just move through.

April 11 — we step back into it together.

For the next chapter in our 10th anniversary series, we welcome Aurora Halal .

We’ve long admired Aurora and the unmistakable energy she brings to the floor - a current of high-octane psychedelic frequencies that expand the room and pull dancers deeper into its orbit. As a resident at Nowadays and curator of Sustain-Release/Mutual Dreaming, she moves through the culture with intention, helping shape spaces where music can still feel exploratory, ecstatic, and alive.

To meet that energy, we call on our resident Taylor Shockley . Taylor has become an architect of our nights - someone who understands how to read a room from the inside, guiding its motion with instinct and care until the floor finds its own momentum.

With the second gathering in this series, we’re not easing into the next decade. We step into it asking more of ourselves - expanding the space, deepening the intention, and continuing to build what these nights can become.

Tonight is the night 🔊

Frank Paper opens the night. Not as prelude, but as foundation. They approach the first hours with care - studying those who headline, understanding how a room breathes, how it’s built from the ground up.

Join us from the first record.

With immense respect, we welcome Vladimir Ivkovic to 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨.

For over a decade, we’ve built this space on intention - on artists who understand that a dancefloor is not content, but communion. Vladimir’s work has long reminded us that music can still feel dangerous, tender, and unpredictable all at once.

This isn’t just a booking - it’s a meeting of sensibilities.

As we mark ten years of 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨, it feels significant to stand alongside an artist who has charted his own course - guided by instinct rather than industry currents. His presence reflects a refusal to dilute vision - a commitment to depth that doesn’t chase approval or soften its stance.

Two weeks from now, we gather again. We’re truly excited to share this one with you.

Over the past years, Palestine has been subjected to violence so relentless it defies language - and in that brutality, it has become a revelation.
A mirror.
A measure of what the world is willing to accept.

And if this is what the world accepts, then indifference becomes an extension of the violence it reveals.
On Dec 6, we’re gathering alongside in support of Addameer, an organization defending Palestinian prisoners and detainees denied the basic right to self-determination.

To stand with Palestine is to confront the material reality of our world, because the violence there is not chaos - it is design. Palestine becomes the litmus test: of our humanity, yes, but also of how we recognize Israel’s role as the R&D hub for U.S. police, ICE, and the military, making the Palestinian struggle central to every global fight for liberation.

Addameer stands with those the world tries hardest to erase.
And on Dec 6, so do we.

All proceeds go directly to Addameer.

We always knew Frank Paper had the right tools - the records, the ear, the patience. But what tipped the scale was how they opened the room last year for Taylor and Carl’s b2b. The way they built the night, set the pace, and created space for what followed - it was one of those moments that left no doubt.

From that night on, it was clear they had to be a vyo͞o resident.
Rooted in community, grounded in taste, and carrying the same energy that’s kept this going all these years.

Frank Paper takes the reins again this Saturday - warming up the room for Carl H and setting the tone for what’s to come.

We’ve long held a deep admiration for Lena Willikens - not only as a singular force, but as part of the remarkable lineage of innovators from Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs.

At the core of her presence is an honesty in mixing: she lets the music speak in unexpected shapes and depths, mapping out hidden circuits of techno, EBM, acid, and ambient that blur into something unclassifiable. Sometimes it carries a whispered urgency, other times it’s edged with paranoia - but always resisting confinement.

What she offers is more than music - it’s the full spectrum of human emotion made audible. We can’t wait to share it with you.

On October 17th, we celebrate nine years of 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨; nine years of building without compromise, of shaping a community through sound and intent.

For this milestone, we welcome two uncompromising talents. Making her 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨 debut, Lena Willikens brings her otherworldly and immersive sound - bending perception, reshaping the floor, and pulling us into unfamiliar terrain. Her ability to reimagine time and space resonates with the spirit of 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨: a commitment to depth over spectacle, exploration over ease. Alongside her is our own Taylor Shockley, 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨 resident and kindred spirit, whose rigor and ferocity embody the uncompromising energy that shapes us.

Nine years in, and we hold the line; what began as a gathering has become a community rooted in conviction. Ours is not an escape from the world, but a confrontation with it: a space where sound carries the full spectrum of the human experience - not happiness alone, but turbulence and stillness, ache and exaltation. This is why we gather. This is why we build.

Nearly a decade ago, we first crossed paths with Dj Masda at Off Sonar. He would soon become our second ever international guest - a booking that felt like a leap at the time, but one that would anchor our vision ever since.

Masda’s sound resists borders, moody yet fluid, forever slipping past the language of genre. He reminded us early on that what we were building was not a trend or a template, but a practice of feeling, risk, and imagination.

Nearly ten years on, his presence isn’t just a booking - it’s a tradition, a reminder of why we started and where we’re headed.
