My company, One World Energy/Upepo Groups, is very interested in working out a development agreement where we would do a turn key renewable energy project for you on your land. My team has had experience in developing over 1,000 megawatts of wind and solar power, both domestically and in the international arena
We aim to significantly help black farmers and other small farmers achieve economic stability and true sustainability without selling the land or just receiving lease payments. We plan to work with and through production co-ops designed for black/small farmers to own the means of production of renewable energy products... Let’s face it, we as black folks, small farmers and especially people of color farmers are not known for having large pools of capital for investment. Are we expecting to get something for nothing? Not really, One World Energy will get paid from a portion of the monies we raise on your behalf from public and private sources. In other words, if we don’t perform as promised, we don’t eat.
Many farmers have valuable resources that can be developed – namely wind and solar resources and land on which to build projects. There are several possible financing models that entail zero or limited financial investment by the farmer. One we will refer to as a “resource lease” model. The other we call an “ownership flip” model.
But at the end of the day, we bring value-added attributes that no other company can match:
1. We build our project, develop financing strategies, and operation strategies with the intent that our client of color will be the ultimate owner, not just an entity that receives lease payments.
2. We understand, and more to the point know how to exploit all the Federal and state grants and procurement incentives that are legally available to our client for their benefit.
3. We are sensitive to the needs of clients of color and respect their timetable and make a special effort to make sure that there are understanding and trust at every step of the journey.
We will measure our success in this project as the increase in the farmers’/clients economic well being and sustainability.
TO GET STARTED
We would like to receive copies of all current data that you have on the location of any power lines on your property and the name of the utility company that serves your property so that we can put together a formal proposal for renewable energy power development to you.
