It may be unclear why I’m throwing a Pride when we seem to have so many; it’s because I’m doing it different. Not “better” not “the right way” but A way 💗 There is so much more to life than just ONE type of celebration of identity, family, community, and YES sexuality. We would not have anything that we hold dear today as LGBTQIA+ people without black and brown S*X workers and kinksters. History is about learning and honoring and finding strength in the battles fought before us, while doing better and continuing the fight for our younger generations. Pride IS political. Always has been, and most certainly will continue to be.

This week I’ll be fully finalizing the music announcements, sending out coordination emails, creating an “open-business” directory, and collecting water donations for Q***r the Block (Callow Pride) 2026!! This event is a culmination of over 30 local individuals + small and/or queer-owned businesses pitching in their time, effort, handmade items, and dedication to an idea 💗 There are so many types of Prides and I love each and every one of them. This Callow Pride intends to serve a very clear and different purpose; to highlight grassroots community service organizations, prioritize local talent + their formal introductions to our community , and create a genuine safe space protected by fellow qu**rs. My hope is for all generations to be introduced to the power and beauty that is Drag, get to know your local library, find a new artist to love, and check out the businesses down in the Charleston Business District in order to strengthen our local economy in a place that has shown to open its arms to our community. We can’t wait to see each and every one of you on June 14th from 12-5!

Day 1 of the was fantastic!! I even got to arm my youngest customer yet with their very own sword (my crowning achievement if you ask me) 🥹💗 Come see me again for day 2 down in the same location (533 4th St Bremerton WA) along with new artists you DIDN’T get to see today! All 3 days (yes it’s open Sunday too 🥳) will have new artists and new items! We have so many amazing people involved in this celebration that instagram won’t let me tag everyone 😂😂 Just a reminder that this Pride is no cops, no churches, no large corporations. If you are a religious entity or business entity that is not independently/locally owned, then you may support by donating cases of water to Teddy Bear’s Beads and/or donating money to the resources listed below (as they in turn support our community, and will be present to table on the day-of!)

Can’t have a party with no pictures!!! I’m so thankful to have another Evergreen participating in Q***r the Block 🌲💗 has graciously agreed to be our photographer for the day, taking special care to protect privacy and expression by only taking individual’s solo photos when permission is given and not taking focused photos of minors’ faces. While being loud, proud, and together is the focal point of this event; so is safety, the privacy to try new things, and the freedom to show up completely as you are. I want all attendees to feel like the option to be perceived online is their own choice and in their own hands. I am SO EXCITED to see the individual photos that everyone will take of themselves and let the “event” be its own moment of togetherness. Once again, amazing flyer created by ✨

SURPRISE!! This trailer park kid is comin’ on home to mama! I’m so thrilled to be joining and at the trailer park pageant this year to watch the FIRST EVER trailer park king .angelodanger ‘s step down! 🦝 I’ll be bringing the latest upcycled squishmallow bags, and possibly some beaded lizards like the good ol’ days ☺️ Who knows, maybe I’ll make an insane one of a kind silent auction item for my table 🧐🤨 guess you’ll have to come down to find out 😉
