Much like the welcome relief brought by yesterday’s sudden July thunderstorm—breaking New York City’s heavy summer heat—the downpour in Childe Hassam’s masterwork,

In the blink of an eye, we are transported from the quiet sanctuary of a cool summer forest enveloped in evening mist (see previous post), moving into the radiant expanse of a sun-drenched coastal sanctuary.
When you stand in the middle of wind-swept blooms, looking at the ocean, the world dissolves into a rhapsody of color. The air carries the wild scent of New England poppies, their deep crimson petals dancing against the earthy greens of the coast.

These earrings are a fragment of that very breeze, frozen in time. Inspired by Childe Hassam’s "Celia Thaxter's Garden, Isles of Shoals, Main" 1890.

In the blink of an eye, we are transported from wind-swept Atlantic cliffs (see previous post) to the quiet sanctuary of a summer forest, enveloped in evening mist.

These ethereal green onyx drops from the American Impressionists series by Kira Koktysh Art Jewelry are a wearable homage to Thomas Wilmer Dewing’s dreamlike masterpiece, The Hermit Thrush (1890).
