Moeloth and Hofert Jewelers was opened by my great grandfather Herbert Hofert Sr. Ed passed away and it then became Hofert Jewelers, Inc. My great Grandfather passed in the late 80s. Herbert Jr. & William (grandfather) retired in the mid 1990's and their sons Pepper and (my dad) Dominic took over. Pepper Hofert (retired 2006) was trained in Switzerland as a Swiss-trained watchmak

er. His expertise is in the ability to repair all makes of watches. Dominic Hofert was educated at the Gemological Institute of America, recognized as the world's foremost authority in gemology. He specialized in the study of diamonds and colored stones, earning a Graduate Gemologist degree and subsequently met my amazing mother Susan (also a graduate gemologist.) Upon Dominics passing in 2015 Hoferts remained open run by Dominics wife Susan his son Andrew and daughter Natalie until the physical store closed in February of 2020 but continues on currently as an online and by appointment service by Andrew Hofert. The feel of the store is one of a well established and trusted business with the original wooden jewelry cases intact. Hofert offers a wide selection of fine jewelry including diamonds and colored stones alike. The store has retains a jeweler who completes all types of repairs and can also do custom work such as creating jewelry from a picture. Hofert Jewelers also has a complete gift department including crystal, brass, pewter, silver, bridal gifts and watches.
