Thanks for all our friends who patroned The Attic this weekend at a wildly successful Janesville Renaissance Faire. Look online soon for Facebook MarketPlace and one other (to be named) location for many of our products.

We salute the staff of the Janesville Renaissance Faire for always going above and beyond to help the vendors be as successful as possible. That, and you are family; Always.

Also a huge thank you to Goater Mac and Jess for bringing back great memories and playing in our tent again. We raise up a glass to you, kind, gentle musicians, who bring laughter, tears and new memories.

So happy to see Kelly Murray in her new partlet. She wears it well.

So I was asked by a future groom to reproduce the half sleeve tattoo on his arm for the sleeve of his wedding shirt. Yeah, no pressure there. I took a picture of his tattoo but he had had gotten it such a long time ago, it was faded. He sent me the original drawing that the tattoo artist had made prior to inking it. To add to the level of difficulty, he wanted it stitched out on a black shirt, so everything that was black shaded had to be either color shaded or turned white. Instead of a stark reversal, I used a medium grey, which gave the outlining a very ghost-like outline. The results are as you see it. It turned out better than I could have hoped for. I wound up not following the colors on his ink but went more vibrant, which he approved of. The red and silver metallic on the cuff and collar will match her dress.

It has been the toughest Digitizing of an image that I have done to date. But I think the results back up our claim, that if you can dream it, we can build it. Don't forget out shirts come with a 3 year guarantee.

I want to thank you to all those who came out this past weekend to help make this 2016 Stronghold a qualified success. There were many happy faces that I have not seen in quite a while this weekend and it was so very heartwarming to see you. 10 years ago at Stronghold the Attic started out in a small tent that we bought from A Knight to Remember - Carlo Tuzzio. It was just enough to contain our meager few products. In that time we have bought a massive pavilion and filled it with enough product that the scope of it cannot be contained in that same pavilion at ANY show. That noble canvas (which is now drying thanks to some last minute misting during breakdown last night) has housed and protected not only a large number of patrons of our product but some of the best people we could hoped to share the space with and given of themselves selflessly. Isle Thain Somerled, Jennifer Hanson Katzenberger, Kristen Glonek, Courtney Ladd, Suzanne Richardson, Bob Matthews, Mitchell Showers, MaryKate Showers, Steve Schroeder, Michael Katzenberger, Beth Gehris, Mieux Williamsen, Greg Marchand, Becky Marchand, Jon Schleifer, Tammy Schleifer, Quinn Martinez, Charles Braden, Anita Karban-Neef,(My apologies if your name was left off this list, my memory isn't what it used to be.)

The Stronghold Faire has seen some decline in the last 5 years but as of last year new changes have breathed new life into this event. The changes from last year to this year has brought a significant increase in vendors, some new stage acts, and continuing the shuttle run of previous years which allow patrons from the downtown Autumn Fall Fest in Oregon, IL to attend Stronghold and vise-versa. Parking was filled to the overflow lot BOTH days. To everyone who has felt it has been better to move on to 'greener pastures', please re-consider this faire. Thank you all, again. We now return you to your day and we have to go dry out canvas and make more stock.

Stronghold 2015 is officially in the history books. This was our second biggest year since the Attic started bringing wares to this show in 2006. The "A" team brought their "A" game and it really showed. Thank you to all our friends and patrons who keep us coming back with new items each year. Next year is our 10th Anniversary at the Stronghold Olde English faire, be sure to save the date and stop by. You'll never know what you will find in... The Attic.
