Pat Horlacher Custom Silversmithing I got started back in 2009 with the help of John Hyde and Garrett Duncan and was hooked. He really opened my eyes to a whole new world of engraving.

After getting the basic tools needed to start I soon realized I wanted this to become more than just a hobby. I applied for and received the TCAA scholarship in 2011 and spent 5 days working with Ernie Marsh. I am dedicated to continuing my education and developing my skills to make you, my customers, a higher quality product. Something I have found to be true is "Quality is appreciated long after price is forgotten." Author unknown but clearly brilliant.

Obviously, we are less than 37 days away from the election (I believe it is 16) but I am hopeful that we can use the cities in the meme and states like Washington, Oregon and California as well as what is happening globally in places like France as an object lesson and motivation to learn and avoid the natural consequences of empowering evil ideologies. Turns out that opening the (metaphorical) gates to the city and let the barbarians in, has always been a bad idea and still is.

There has been one party rule in places like Detroit, Chicago, Washington, Oregon, and California for decades, how well has that actually worked out?
When I look at the stats they clearly show, not good.
In many ways they resemble places where third world, barbaric minded people are in charge.
Is that really what we are going to allow to happen to the greatest nation on God’s green earth?
As Christians are we really going to sit on the sidelines and let the wicked take over?

Lord, I pray that you awaken your sleeping church and that we would proactively participate in the nation you established. Father God, through our apathy we have empowered evil rulers and judges that have perverted justice and oppress the victim while rewarding the wicked.
Lord forgive us! And open our eyes so that we would repent and turn from our wicked ways.
Lord, I pray that those who are called by your name would return to teaching, preaching and proclaiming The Whole Council of Your Word.
Lord the oppressed cry out for justice.
We cry out for justices. Give us the strength to stand up against the evil that is spreading across our nation and the world.
Father God, you gave us your Word is a comprehensive blueprint on how you would have us live. It does not talk about every facet of life, but politics. Open our eyes to see and our ears to hear your will. Give our hands and feet the moral fortitude and strength to be and do justice as we walk humbly before you.
Heavenly father, I pray for a hedge of protection over this election. I pray that the evil doers would not be able to manipulate the outcome.
Lord, I ask that your awakened church brings glory to you in how we stand up to fill the gap and lead in your righteousness and justice.
I asked all of these things in your son‘s holy and precious name, amen.

Today’s mail brought a couple complementary Western Horsemen.
It’s not every day that one gets to experience the privilege of being featured in one. Especially for a kid born in eastern Washington and raised in a farming community. (for those that don’t know, it’s not known for its buckaroo culture or any meaningful cowboy culture for that matter) but I think it’s even a greater honor being in the same addition with the legend that is Dwight N Regina Hill.

“The silent church”

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

Folks that think the “church” needs to change and update with the times, fundamentally misunderstands the nature of who God is. He is the same yesterday today and forever, and the rules He put in place to govern human nature and the natural world we reside in has never, and will never change until the end of time.
One would have a better chance of changing the principles of mathematics.

The Bible does not need to be updated to suit the times. The church needs to return to teaching the WHOLE COUNSEL of God‘s word and how it relates to ALL times and ALL places.
We now have churches and denominations embracing homosexuality and gender fluidity in complete defiance of science and the Creator of which they claim to represent.
God has not changed His opinion on sin such as homosexuality, murder (including the unborn), or government sanctioned theft to satiate politicians and many of their constituents greed and covetousness. He love’s the sinner yet abhors the sin.

There are even churches teaching critical race theory and white privilege from the pulpit, I challenge anyone to find those concepts taught in scripture.
In the broader sense of the term, the “church” has lost its salt. Most are teaching nothing more than a feel good message that has more in common with secularism then it does the actual word of God. (Or what Dietrich Bonhoeffer might call, “cheap grace“)
And we are seeing the results everyday.
The left is literally attacking the very foundation of truth.

The left claims to be fighting racism while promoting notions like “white privilege”. That proposition judges an entire group of individuals solely based on their skin color. By definition that is racist. And the church is silent.

They say nothing about the fact that we are all equal in worth and value (but not talents and abilities) because we are all fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. Christ is seeking a relationship with each and everyone of us regardless of our (real) race and gender.

The left claims to be fighting for “social justice“ while violating the most basic elements of what true justice is. And the church is silent.

Because God’s word says that we are all equal in worth in value,
true “social justice” is what our Founders acknowledged when they established this more perfect union. It’s called “equality under the law”. That’s why lady justice is blind folded, so she does not see race, gender, wealth, status, power etc. All she is supposed to see is your equal Rights under the law. Those that violate law (aka, criminals) do not owe a debt to society, they owe a debt to their victim(s) and no one else.

The left talks about the “quality” only in the context of outcomes, never about equality of effort. And the church is silent.
To paraphrase scripture, it says to those unwilling to work, “no workie, no eattie”.
And the church is silent.

The left says without qualification or clear definition, “pay your far share”.
And the church is silent.

A biblical understanding of justice and equality does not depend upon ones income or net worth. We are all supposed to have equal rights to our property (which includes our money)
God does not have a progressive tax, and neither should we.
God asks for 10% regardless of your income or net worth, and so should we. That is a part of equality.

At no point does the left want to acknowledge that people can be complacent in their suffering and or are the sole reason for their painful situation. And the church is silent.
The Bible teaches “as you sow, so shall you also reap.”

I could go on for quite some time on this topic but I believe you get the basic concept that the left is literally taking the predictable position that opposes God. And the church is silent....

As Christians, how we vote matters. And not voting, is voting.
As this meme points out, there are roughly 32 million self proclaimed Christians that will actively participate in choosing our elected officials, By Not Voting.

That is choosing to do nothing in the face of evil and as Dietrich Bonhoeffer pointed out, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil”
I would argue that is an indictment on the leadership of the silent church for not teaching the whole council of God‘s word.
Most elections are lost by thousands to hundreds of thousands of votes.

On this Sunday morning, I hope and pray that you are not a part of this apathetic evil empowering, God defying, non-voting portion of the silent church…
