This client was on vacation when she noticed the center diamond and halo were completely missing from her engagement ring. Thankfully, she found the missing top section and brought it in for inspection.

After looking over the damage, repair was not the best option. The ring had broken at weak points in the setting, and rebuilding it the same way would likely leave it vulnerable to the same type of failure.

We upgraded her to a platinum engagement ring mounting with stronger points of support for the center setting, while still making sure the new ring paired beautifully with her existing wedding rings.

A center stone upgrade can completely change the look of a ring without replacing the entire bridal set.

This customer’s ring came in for a cleaning and refurbish, but during the process, one of the baguette diamonds came loose and needed to be reset. After securing the stone, we removed the original center diamond, refinished the set, and prepared it for its upgraded look.

This is a great option for someone who wants to celebrate an anniversary or new chapter while still keeping the original ring they know and love.

This custom engagement ring was designed with one goal in mind: elegance.

The bride-to-be wanted a clean, dainty solitaire, so we sourced a natural 1.5 carat emerald cut diamond with a slightly narrower shape to help elongate her size 4.5 finger. To keep the ring both delicate and secure, a gallery wire was added between the prongs, and the center stone was set with enough space for a straight wedding band to sit flush beside it.

A customer came in with a bridal set that had been crushed while she was gardening and building a rock wall.

One of the stones shifted, crushing the rings into her finger and causing major swelling. Her husband had to quickly cut the rings off using bolt cutters.

The original bridal set was beyond repair, but the couple saw this as the perfect opportunity to create something new.

We designed a new platinum bridal set with a 2ct diamond, along with matching platinum anniversary bands. The finished set still carries a subtle resemblance to her original three-stone ring, while giving her a beautiful upgrade for this current chapter in life.

A widow came to me with a drawing of her husband’s hand that had been traced late in his life.

She wanted a way to carry that memory with her every day.

Using gold she provided, I recreated the hand in miniature, mounted it onto a silver heart, and suspended it inside his original wedding ring.

Projects like this remind me that jewelry isn’t always about gemstones or precious metals. Sometimes it’s about preserving a memory that means everything.

A customer brought us a broken memorial bracelet made from rings her late husband once wore.

The bracelet included his Iowa State class ring, a tri-color ring from his time living and working in Italy, and part of his wedding band, which matched the ring she still wears today.

One of the rivets had failed, and several others were close to wearing through. We rebuilt the rivets in harder 10kt gold and made them wider to help strengthen the bracelet for continued wear.

For this repair, preservation mattered just as much as strength.

Only the new work was polished, leaving the original scratches and marks untouched.

Some of those marks may have come from the years he wore those rings, and those memories deserved to stay.
