🎶 我們為什麼加入劍橋合唱團？
Why Did We Join the Cambridge Chinese Choral Society?
如果問起每個人，答案可能都不一樣。
對大多數團員來說，最單純也最重要的理由，就是....喜歡唱歌❤️
有人因為朋友的一句邀請，踏進了合唱團；有人想認識新朋友、拓展生活圈，也有人希望在忙碌的生活裡，找到一個能放鬆、紓壓的地方。
而對有些人來說，唱歌不只是唱歌：
🎵 是台語、華語、原住民語、客語歌曲裡，熟悉又珍貴的文化記憶。
🏠 是聽見熟悉的旋律時，那份家的味道，以及對家鄉、對親人的想念。
🤝 是在異地與一群人一起唱歌，慢慢建立起來的連結與歸屬感。
✨ 也是圓一個合唱團的夢、延續父母與合唱團的緣分、挑戰自己，或是被一場演出深深感動的那個瞬間。
每個人的故事都不一樣。有些人為音樂而來，有些人因為一份情感而留下，也有人只是想為生活多找一點樂趣。
但當我們站在一起，呼吸、聆聽、唱出同一段旋律時，這些不同的理由，就慢慢匯聚成了我們共同的聲音。
我們因不同的故事相遇，因歌聲找到彼此。 🎶
這裡是劍橋合唱團，一個讓歌聲承載文化、讓音樂連結人心的地方。

🎶 Why Did We Join the Cambridge Chinese Choral Society?
Ask each of us, and you might get a different answer.
For most of our members, the simplest, and perhaps most important, reason is this:
we love to sing. ❤️
Some of us joined because a friend invited us. Others came hoping to meet new people and expand their social circles, or to find a place to unwind and recharge amid the busyness of everyday life.
But for some of us, singing means so much more than singing.
🎵 It’s a connection to our cultural heritage through songs in Mandarin, Taigi, Indigenous languages of Taiwan, and Hakka.
🏠 It’s the feeling of home, the familiar melodies that bring back memories of our hometowns and the people we miss.
🤝 It’s finding connection and a sense of belonging while building community with others far from home.
✨ It’s also about fulfilling a dream of singing in a choir, carrying on a family tradition, challenging ourselves, or being moved to tears by a performance.
Each of us has a different story. Some came for the music, some found a deeper emotional connection, and others simply wanted to bring a little more joy into their lives.
Yet when we stand together, breathe together, listen to one another, and sing the same melody, our different reasons gradually come together as one shared voice.
We came with different stories, and found one another through song. 🎶
This is the CCCS, a place where songs carry culture, and music brings people together.
