I prefer to use a Vintage Singer 247 sewing machine for most of my bag making. It has been pretty reliable until... today. Stitches were off, tension was off. Dismantled what I could, gave it a good cleaning, and oiled it. Started over with new thread, and bobbin. I still had the same issue. Decided to set it aside and watch a few you tubes on what could be the issue.

Finally! Figured it out!!

I had recently purchased new 'bobbins'. They were noted as the size the machine used. Umm...no they weren't. So changed back to some older bobbins, and the machine is once again sewing like a dream machine!!

Couldn't find a cotton mid length slip anywhere. Created my own!
