This 14 karat yellow gold pendant and 1.5 carat lab created emerald cut diamond was challenging because the stone was too big to fit into the mounting as shown in the first two images. So we had to modify the mounting by cutting it in half and adding a 1.25 mm insert to allow the stone to fit correctly as shown in 3 and 4. Then we have to cut and trim the piece added so that the stone will fit inside. Then we cut the seats, push the metal down over the edges and add the chain. The last photo shows the finish product.

We did this one last month and I forgot to post it. I’ve been slacking on the work pics and videos lately, sorry. This is a cushion cut natural sapphire that one of our trade account wanted to put in a 14k white gold bezel. They do not prefab any with these measurements, so we had to did this one by hand, which is both challenging and fun. Being as deep a stone as it is, we need to make the bezel tall enough so that it doesn’t poke out the bottom and tilt on the neck. We were pretty happy with how it turned out.

This was a fun one, we had a customer bring in a piece of colored acrylic that at one point had a bale glued to the back that had broken off. She was looking for a more permanent solution so we decided to wrap it with silver wire. The first picture is the final result, the other nine are the different steps. This is one piece of wire that was wrapped around, soldered in a few places and is now rigid and will be very durable for her going forward.
