While studying Forestry at SIU, Chris McKinley fell in love with the natural beauty of Southern Illinois.

“I grew up in Central Illinois surrounded by flat land and crops, so when I visited Southern Illinois for the first time and went to Giant City State Park, I was floored! I knew I wanted to live here.”

Chris now operates Kinley Jewelry, where the influence of nature is apparent in her jewelry designs! She makes everything by hand in her Carbondale home studio, and now her pieces are available on the Saluki Market!
