Eirika Leeann Vick, age 35, passed away on July 2, 2026. Born on June 25, 1991, Eirika will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend whose steady courage, deep devotion, and kind-hearted spirit left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. Even in life’s hardest moments, she carried herself with quiet strength and a selfless concern for others, offering warmth and humor that could lighten a room.

Eirika’s commitment to growth and purpose was reflected in earning a masters degree, a milestone that spoke to her determination and the care she took in building a meaningful life. She also served in the Army National Guard, a role that called for bravery and sacrifice—qualities she met with resolve and humility.

Her medals and decorations include the Afghanistan campaign medal with campaign star, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense service Medal, Global War on terrorism medal, Army service Medal, and Army Reserve component overseas training ribbon.

Visitation will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky on July 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Funeral Service will follow at Evergreen Funeral Home on July 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

On July 21st, 1997, the U.S.S. Constitution, aka Old Ironsides, which defended the United States during the War of 1812, set sail with 216 crew members under its own power for first time in 116 years, leaving its temporary anchorage at Marblehead, Mass., for a one-hour voyage marking its 200th anniversary. The actual anniversary was the following October. It was built in 1797 and was never defeated in 42 battles.
