It’s National Oyster Day! Did you know that PEARLS come from and are grown in oysters? Nature creates beauty and something delicious!
Cultured pearls are made by putting a small “seed” into the oyster, then it is left to grow. The longer the “seed” is in the oyster the larger the pearl becomes. Nature decides on the color and shape.
A “natural” pearl grows all on its own from perhaps a speck of sand. They are much more rare.

Pearls are sorted and graded for things like color, shape and size. Not unlike diamonds.

So buy some oysters tonight you never know when you might get lucky. You may find the 1 in 10,000 to get a pearl lol
