How to get started making a stretch bracelet when doubling the stretch cord ✅

Cut cord to 22 inches, using a beading needle 🪡 slide the stretch cord through and make it even on both sides, add a bead stopper to keep beads in place while working, finish with a surgeons knot and a dab of glue!

How to measure your wrist for the perfect fit 👌🏼

Using a flexible measuring tape check your wrist size! Mine is a 6 1/4” (6.25”) wrist 👉 however if I were to make a bracelet that was 6 1/4” it would be too tight.

So the rule to follow is ✅ add 1/2” to your raw wrist measurement for a snug fit and 1” for a loose comfortable fit!

🌮 FOOD FOR THOUGHT 💭 You have to account for the bead size and circumferences. Smaller beads will not need as much added because their inside circumference will be smaller than larger beads!

Let’s make a bracelets and talk about hiding the knot 🪢

👀 Better Appearance: A visible knot ruins the smooth, continuous flow of the beads

💪🏼 More durable: less friction on the knot makes it more durable overtime

Using beads with a 1mm hole or bigger is key 🔑 to easily hiding the knot ✅

Are your stretch bracelets breaking or stretching out over time? 😱 Here are 3 common mistakes and quick fixes:

1️⃣ Skipping pre-stretching: Always stretch your cord before stringing beads!
2️⃣ Using the wrong knot: A surgeon’s knot is much more secure than a standard square knot.
3️⃣ Leaving knots visible: Tuck your finished knot into a large-hole bead with a dab of GS Hypo Cement.
