Good Morning All!

I pray that all of you have been safe, especially these last two weeks with the violent storms we are having.

I know my trees and yard have certainly taken a hit so I can imagine you all are in a similar boat. Good Morning All!

It is hard to think about, especially with this bitter cold we are all experiencing, but spring is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited!

Excited for all the trees to wake up from their period of dormancy and have all our beautiful green come back out.

Excited to get to plant new trees and taking care of those that suffered injury from the winter months.

Excited to get our hands dirty in the garden and working on sprinkler systems.

Interesting Tree Fact of the Week:
The Redbud Tree (our state tree) is incredibly important for the people of Israel, where it has status of protected tree.

BONUS FACT!:
The Redbud tree is also known as Judas tree. According to the legend, Judas Iscariot hanged himself on the Redbud Tree after he betrayed Christ. Typically, most of the foliage growth happens in the spring, followed by trunk growth in the summer and root growth in the fall and winter. We typically are not open on Sunday’s, but this last Sunday (30 Sep) we were blessed to have been asked to help a family commemorate their loved one. Thank you so much to the family for allowing us to come and help you guys celebrate and honor a great man through the planting of this beautiful Amur Maple.
