As I look back on this year, I’m overwhelmed by how much life has changed. The gratitude I feel is deep, honest, and hard-earned.
In May of 2024, I survived sepsis. That experience reshaped everything. It reminded me how fragile life is and how precious every new day can be. I’m profoundly thankful to still be here — to breathe, to create, to grow, and to love the life I’ve fought so hard to rebuild
Last Thanksgiving, I was also learning how to navigate being a single mom. I felt unsteady and unsure, trying to figure out what my future would look like. It was a season of starting over, hoping that something better was ahead even when I couldn’t see it yet. And now… my life has truly done a 180
This year, I built an artistic home for myself on whatnot. During our streams I’ve drawn over 300 species — a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. In our massive goal to draw every species on the planet.
I went from having 30 magnet designs to over 150, each one created with purpose and heart. with the incredible support of my Whatnot community, I didn’t just reach a dream… I surpassed it. I didn’t just enter a gallery — I became a co-owner of one, in the heart of downtown Summerville. Something that once felt impossible has become one of the most important parts of my life.
Along this journey, I’ve gained friendships that feel genuine and grounding. People who cheer, support, and walk with me through every high and low. I’m so thankful for every connection art has brought into my world
And then there’s Gunner — my fur best friend. He came into my life right when I needed peace the most. His calmness, his presence, his companionship… he’s been a steady comfort through a year full of change and healing
Today, I’m thankful for resilience.
I’m thankful for the people who believed in me when life felt heavy.
I’m thankful for the community that lifted me higher than I ever imagined.
And I’m thankful for the strength to rebuild a life that finally feels like home.
