All shark teeth used in Pixie Gem Shop jewelry are found locally here in Charleston!

Whether found by me or donated by other locals, each one is sustainably hand collected along our beaches and waterways.

Many come from Folly Beach or sandbars only reachable by kayak or boat.

Most are black — meaning they’re fossilized — and can range in age from 10,000 to 75 million years old.

When you wear one, you’re wearing a real piece of natural history. 🦈

It’s been a while since I properly introduced myself on here — so hey! I’m Marisa, the designer and maker behind all Pixie Gem Shop jewelry. 🧚‍♀️

My love for making jewelry started when my grandmother taught me as a child. I’ve always been drawn to nature and being outside, and I’ve had an ever-growing rock collection for as long as I can remember. That love naturally found its way into my work — from natural gemstones to locally found shark teeth I turn into one-of-a-kind pieces. ✨
