I’ve been playing around with making some things that aren’t technically jewelry lately… and these are the first little objects to make their way out of the studio 🖤
Jumbo steel safety pins, dressed up with gemstones + hand-fabricated silver details. I’ve been using mine as a keychain and love that it turns something completely utilitarian into something a little more fun.
The first batch of Keepers is in the shop now ✨

Open Studios is back this Thursday! ✨
A few times a year, we open up the studios at Redux Contemporary Art Center and invite everyone in to see what we’ve been working on. It’s genuinely one of my favorite nights to have people in the studio.

Kristin | Handmade Jewelry ⚒ and I will have the studio cleaned up and ready for yall. I’ll have my full jewelry selection out, along with some semi-custom pieces + loose stones to play around with. So if you’re the kind of person who loves picking through stones, laying out combinations and dreaming something up together, this is a VERY good night to come see me.

You can also pop in and get your ring size (for free!), talk customs, ask me about upcoming jewelry classes or private lessons, or just come see where everything gets made and talk jewelry with me.

And if you’ve been thinking about having something special made for the holidays, now is a great time to come chat with me and get the process started. 💫

As always, all the other Redux artists will also be opening their studios throughout the building, plus three exhibitions to wander through while you’re here. And if you haven’t seen Big Berthas Bait n Tackle in the Middle Gallery yet, DO IT. It’s so much fun.

Back from a very dreamy week in Portugal and still processing all the colors, textures + tiny details I tucked away in my brain along the way. Tiled buildings, weathered stone, shells on the beach, the bluest water, little bits of color everywhere. The kind of things I know will inevitably find their way into something I make 6 months from now without me even realizing it.

And, of course, I packed a lot of jewelry. these were a few of the pieces that came along for the ride, which feels fitting since so much of Summer’s End was made with exactly this kind of wandering, collecting, end-of-summer feeling in mind.

One more little Summer’s End moment before I head out of town ✨
Just a reminder that today is the last day to order before my shipping break. Orders placed after 9/8 will begin shipping when I’m back in the studio on 9/18.

SUMMER’S END tonight at 7pm ET☀️

One last little collection before the season turns.

This summer has been full of slow days, time in the garden, trips to the beach, collecting treasures with my daughter and lots of experimenting and PLAYING at my work bench. I tend to burn it at both ends all summer and squeeze it all in. Somewhere along the way, all of that made its way into these pieces.

Lots of pearls, turquoise, colorful stones, some new beaded styles and fun creations from silver scrap transformed into something entirely new.

A little colorful, a little imperfect, and very much inspired by the last sweet days of summer.
